Very few expats use public transportation in Dubai. Most use their own vehicles since getting one is very easy in Dubai owing to low interest rates.

Most expats in Dubai prefer eating outside in restaurants than having the patience or time to cook and eat food at home. Since Dubai restaurants are known to provide good food at reasonable prices and also almost every variety of food in the world, most of them eat or order food outside with the restaurants charging nothing for delivery of food.

Weekends start on Friday with many people enjoying barbeques outside. Even parks and beaches provide grills for the same. Most expat families catch up with the groceries and gossiping on phones during weekends. Many leisure activities like water activities are also very popular during the weekends.

Due to huge expectations that come from such highly paid jobs, most expats don’t find much personal time. Many of the Dubai expats have international channels through the satellites. Dubai provides the best schools possible for kids and hence expat families don’t need to worry about schooling. Dubai is liberal towards women and there is no such restriction on what they can do. Women can visit nightclubs and bars without hindrance and covering themselves from head to toe isn’t necessary. They can work any place where men can.

Many Dubai expat tend to lose interest in their jobs after some time preferring private business over it. Dubai provides very great support for such individuals who want to start their own businesses. Also the income is tax free and responsibilities are easier helping the expats save a lot.
