Girls in Dubai are getting freer

With the spread of education in Dubai the girls have become more career oriented. The high cost of living in Dubai also compels many girls to take up employment. The girls of Dubai now have a more positive outlook towards life, love and family. Dubai girls have now become go getters. They do not fear to take up the challenges. They have become wise and street smart now.

Dubai girls are just like any other girl in the rest of the world. Dubai has a traditional culture dominated by
men. While men provide for their families women stay in their houses and look after the house hold affairs. But the Dubai women are also changing slowly with the changing world. While adhering to the strict patriarchal society and following the traditional norms and values of their culture and belief the girls of Dubai have recently shown their interest towards being educated. They have taken productive roles for themselves and are moving forward to follow the careers of their choice. Not only this, they have proved themselves in their respective fields.

The girls of Dubai now are not only enjoying the economic freedom but are now free to adopt the fashion they want. They still wear the ‘abaya’ but when out of their town you can see them wearing the garments of latest fashion under the ‘abaya’. Even their ‘abaya’ are now not made from raw cotton cloth as earlier but of luxurious material and are stitched a little bit differently in a way that they are now more revealing. The young

Dubai women and girls now prefer to shop the garments of latest trends and fashion from anywhere in the world. Within their houses the girls and women love to wear expensive and latest fashion dresses. These dresses are either short sleeves or shoulder less dresses. They also love to wear costly and latest jewelry.
In fact the motivation and inspiration from the late President Sheikh Zyed sparked the flames in the mind of

Dubai women and girls that they should play an active role in every field and also in the development of the country. The constitution of the UAE in 1971 gave equal rights to the women in selecting the desired field of education and they were also allowed to pursue the careers of their choice. The result of this was that the illiteracy rate in women soon went down to 7.6 percent in 2005 from the 85 percent earlier.

The young women in Dubai are now getting out of the four walls for service and walking outside their houses. The women belonging to the affluent class have also risen to the positions of authority. This has been possible because the elderly people of the society have also changed themselves slowly and the girls and the women now receive their patronage and blessings while going out for work.

In spite of the above change most of the girls in Dubai still prefer to lead a quite life in their houses. But the difference is evident now when the women and girls want to go out for work they are allowed by their elders. They have now become almost free to choose the profession of their choice.
