Living in Abu Dhabi is an enjoyable experience

Earlier when someone talked of living in Middle East it meant that he must be living in area full of chaos. Middle East was considered synonymous with wars, guns and terrorism. The Middle East countries were considered as countries full of violence and it was supposed that the people living there must be living in fear. But this is the picture of earlier times. Many countries of the Middle East have moved forward on the path of progress by shedding the violence.  Now the picture of places like Dubai and Abu Dhabi has totally changed. Dubai has emerged as the global business place and a tourist hub where people from all over the world want to spend their holidays. Similarly, Abu Dhabi is also progressing at a very fast pace and living in Abu Dhabi has become even more lucracative than Dubai because Abu Dhabi is still a growing economy and have more opportunities of jobs and business.
The culture of Abu Dhabi is not very different from Dubai. Both are Arab countries and local at both the places speak Arabic.  Though the locals speak Arabic but the languages like Urdu, Persian, and Russian are quite common. But English is the most commonly spoken language in Abu Dhabi because of the expats coming there and even the locals are now learning it to communicate better with their western counterparts. However Islam still remains the single largest uniting factor for the believers of Islam. If English is not your language it will be good if you learn it. It will be enough even if you learn some common phrases used in day to day situations. It will also be good for you if you learn some words of the local Arabic language. The reason is that if you use these words when you are communicating with a local you are likely to get better attention.
Abu Dhabi is a beautiful place to live in. There are a lot of beautiful natural sceneries, elegant and magnificent structures to see. Actually these facts about Abu Dhabi have not been highlighted by the press and media as has been in the case of Dubai. There are very good hotels where you can get delicious food.
Even though Islam is professed in Abu Dhabi but fashion has now also spread its wings. Even the Burqa and Chaders worn by the traditional women have now become fashionable and bear some marks of the western culture. The women are getting more freedom now. Another thing to note is the garments under the traditional Burqa. These garments worn behind a Burqa are now the true style of western statements.
The crime rate is very low. The climate is a mixture of hot and cold. There is summer for 9 months and you have to face the scorching sun. Therefore air conditioners have to be used. You cannot live without them.
The cost of living in Abu Dhabi is quite high but it is compensated by the high salary you receive there for your work. While living in Dubai you will have to follow the rules of the land. Kissing at public places is strictly prohibited. In some places women are also prohibited from wearing revealing clothes. In short living in Abu Dhabi is an enjoyable experience.
